The Jury of the BFW concept competition

These experts will choose the most outstanding creative and sustainable B2C event concepts for STUDIO2RETAIL and fashion presentation concepts for Berlin Contemporary.

Again and for the upcoming season of the Berlin Fashion Week the Senate, Department of Economic Affairs, Energy and Public Enterprises / Project Future provides prize money to support concepts of stationary retail and German-based designers (preferably from Berlin) that take place during the Berlin Fashion Week in February 2024. The prize money is to be awarded to outstanding creative and sustainable B2C event concepts. The most convincing 5 concepts can win 5,000 EUR in prize money and being part of the BFW format STUDIO2RETAIL. A jury of industry experts will select the winning concepts.

As second part of the BFW competition, promising designers and fashion labels (primarily from Berlin and Germany) and their fashion shows and presentations taking place during Berlin Fashion Week in February 2024 will be awarded. The prize money will go to outstanding, creative, and sustainable fashion presentation concepts.

The top 14 concepts, submitted by applicants registered in Berlin and Germany, can each win 25,000 EUR in prize money and show their collection during the Berlin Contemporary format. In addition, 4x 25,000 EUR in prize money can be awarded to contestants from Ukraine. A jury of industry experts will select the winning concepts.

For both areas of the concept competition, the Fashion Council Germany has set up two expert juries who will evaluate the submitted concepts. This year's jury members are:
