Bright

This season, the “Bright” streetwear tradeshow, which recently moved from Frankfurt to Berlin, will take place in the German capital for the first time. The Bright tradeshow has emerged as a leading venue for streetwear, sneakers, fashion and board sports in Europe. The link and driving force behind the different elements is skateboarding, a sport that has a tremendous influence on the image and authentic character of each individual segment. While the Bright tradeshow’s unique concept guarantees a high degree of image exposure and identity formation, it also offers each brand a strategic and product-oriented opportunity to present their wares.

Dysfashional

DYSFASHIONAL is an international fashion-art exhibition curated by Luca Marchetti and Emanuele Quinz. After stops in Luxemburg, Lausanne and Paris, where it took on a different form each time, it now makes its way to Berlin. Rather than presenting clothes on the catwalk, the artists and designers here experiment with the notion and materiality of fashion. They present installations that reflect their creative universe and artistic approach, while simultaneously exploring the borders of fashion and art. These are works of art presented in the context of fashion. The exhibition is complemented by a project entitled PARASITE, a platform for emerging designers and artists.
Accompanying DYSFASHIONAL is an installation by filmmaker Katharina Klewinghaus exploring the results of the “Bodies in Motion” workshop, which took place in January 2010 in Paris and featured the participation of 16 fashion students from the ESMOD International Fashion School Berlin and the Institut Français de la Mode Paris.
